The ski area of ​​Zermatt is also very extensive. In addition to the home skiing area, there is an opportunity to try your hand at neighboring Italian Cervinia. There is a snow park for snowboarders. Zermatt is located in the most remote corner of Switzerland, on the border with Italy. The nearest major Swiss cities with their own arrival airports are Zurich and Geneva. It will take about 3.5-4 hours to get from the airports to Zermatt, it is possible to use public transport, transfer or by taxi. But renting a car is not a very good idea, because. in Zermatt itself, it is forbidden to travel by car (environmentally clean area). The nearest place where you can leave your car is the village of Tesh, 5 km from the resort.

First of all, Zermatt is a ski resort, so the main tourist attraction of the resort is the natural, climatic conditions for skiing, as well as the development of infrastructure. The length of slopes in Zermatt is 360 km. 75 km of them are trails for beginners, 220 km are suitable for those riders who have already mastered the basics of skiing, 27 km are black trails suitable for pros.
