Lifts and slopes in Zermatt

The most difficult area for skiing - Trifti - has black mogul slopes. In general, for expert skiing in Zermatt there are moguls, rocks, cliffs, and couloirs. Fans will appreciate the long, beautifully groomed red pistes. For experienced skiers, the slopes on the slopes of Gornergrat and Hohtalli (Hohtalli, 3286 m) are suitable. In Sunnega there is an excellent 5-kilometer descent of Kumme (Kumme), in Klein-Matterhorn - red pistes of sufficient difficulty.  For less experienced skiers, there are blue pistes in Sunegga and Riffelberg, as well as downhill slopes from Klein Matterhorn to Trockener Steg. For those who have just started skiing, it will not be easy in Zermatt: there are no trails for beginners, and the blue ones are very difficult and dangerous.

Since 2018, the world's highest 3S cable car has been taking guests from Zermatt to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. The gondola lifts are designed by Pininfarina design studio. The lift was built to complement the already existing cable car and offers a more comfortable journey to the top of the Klein Matterhorn. Lift capacity - 2000 people per hour. The highlight of the modern cable car are the four "Crystal Ride" gondolas, which are covered with Swarovski crystals. During the nine-minute journey from the special cabins of the lift, a breathtaking view opens up: after three minutes, the glass bottom becomes transparent and reveals all the details of the glacial landscape, over which the cabin glides.
