Next, you have a choice of several types of transport: a rented car, taxi, bus, shuttle, train or individual transfer with a driver. The transfer has a number of undoubted advantages compared to the above mentioned vehicles. And that's why.

Transfer or taxi:

It would seem that a taxi is the most convenient and fastest transport, which is practically no different from a transfer. This is true only at first glance, but the differences are significant. For example, not all tourists know that the cost of a taxi is not always a fixed amount. It may depend on various factors such as time of day, weekends or holidays, luggage, number of passengers, provision of a child seat or booster. The price of an individual transfer is calculated in advance when booking and will not change, that is, the budget can be easily planned. The second important difference is the choice of the car. It will be difficult to find a suitable taxi if you have a group of more than 4 people and/or a lot of luggage. You may have to order more than one car, and this is a completely different price. The transfer is selected strictly according to your parameters and requests. Overpayment is excluded. So, the price of a passenger taxi from Barcelona Airport to Salou is from 170€ to 280€, and the price of a transfer is 130€ for a group of 4 passengers (165€ for 5-8 people).

Bus or taxi:

There is a Busplana between Barcelona Airport and Salou. It leaves from Terminal 2, stops at Terminal 1 and then follows the coastline of the Terragona region. The first bus leaves at 08:55, the last at 22:55. Frequency - once an hour, travel time - 2.5 hours, the cost of 1 ticket is 17.90€. In Salou the stop is called Salou Apeadero (Monumento Jaime I). The price of the bus, naturally, is lower than that of an individual transfer, but the ride is almost 2 times longer and the bus will not take you to your apartment and the driver will not meet you at the airport with a sign. Moreover, if you are traveling in a group of 4-7 passengers, the difference in the cost of the trip will be very small.

Shuttle or taxi:

You can get to Salou from Barcelona Airport by taking the Jayride shuttle, which is a minibus that you share with other passengers. You need to order and pay for your place in advance on the website. Approximate schedule: from 06:00 to 22:00, the cost of 1 place - 26€. This price includes one suitcase and one hand luggage. If you need additional luggage space or a child seat, you must indicate this in the application and pay extra separately. Travel time depends on the number of stops to be made, but the minimum is 1.5 hours. Good price if you are only 1-2 passengers

Train or taxi:

The cheapest, but also the most time-consuming way to get to your destination, since there is no direct railway from Barcelona Airport to Salou. If you choose this type of transport, you will first have to get to the Barcelona-Sants station. This can be done on special trains that go to different areas of Barcelona. They depart every half hour from the station opposite Terminal 2, starting at 05:42 and ending at 23:38. The cost of the trip is about 5€, you need to travel three stops. Next, from Barcelona-Sants station, take the train to Vila-seca station. Trains depart 5 times a day: the first at 08:00, the last at 17:30. The ticket price is 8.80€, the average trip duration is 1 hour 20 minutes. From Vila-seca station you need to walk to the bus stop Av. Ramon d'Olzina, 83-85, it is a 7-minute walk. Next, take the Busplana, which departs very often, several times an hour from 07:00 to 22:00. You can get off at the stop C. Ciutat de Reus, 1, which is almost in the centre of Salou. Travel time is 15 minutes. Of course, compared to a transfer, this method is extremely inconvenient.

2) Meeting at Barcelona airport (BCN):

An individual transfer differs from other types of transport by the fact that the driver meets you and accompanies you to the car. You can meet him at the exit from the arrivals area after collecting your luggage. The driver will have a sign with your name or any other text that you specified when booking the transfer.

During the high season, the arrival halls are crowded with tourists and greeters, and finding the right sign can be difficult. This situation can be resolved simply: we will inform you in advance of the name and WhatsApp number of your driver, and you can contact him before your arrival. And after landing, we recommend connecting your phone to a free wi-fi network to inform the driver that everything is in order and going according to plan.

There may be unexpected delays or changes along the way. Traditionally, the high season on the Costa Dorada falls on July and August, when traffic on the roads increases almost constantly. On toll sections, however, traffic is lower. Travel time can also be up to 2 hours.

From August, 15 and for 10 days, the Golden Nights festival takes place in Salou, which attracts even more tourists to the region. It is better to allocate at least 3 hours for the trip during this period.

4) Baggage information for transfer:

5) Selecting a car for transfer:
