Getting to Crans Montata from Geneva airport by car, it is the most convenient option: book a transfer, take a taxi or rent a car. You can get to the resort in 2,5 hours, if there are traffic jams, then 30-50 minutes longer. The entire route is about 195 km. Tourists drive along the A1 and A9 motorways, then along the E62 road (175 km in total), from which they turn onto a serpentine and drive another 20 km. On the way you pass Lake Geneva, as well as the cities of Lausanne and Montreux.

Many skiers and snowboarders book a transfer to get from Geneva airport to Crans Montata. It is much more convenient than public transport and cheaper than a taxi. Tourists can pre-book a car with us for their trip. They can choose a suitable vehicle for themselves: a passenger car for 1-3 people (eg Volkswagen Jetta or Ford Focus); Business class car for a comfortable trip (Mercedes E-class); Van for a group of 5-7 people or for a company with a lot of suitcases and skis (Mercedes V-class or Volkswagen Caravelle); as well as Mercedes Sprinter with a capacity of up to 20 passengers.

Crans Montana is a Swiss resort, which is called the "heart of the Alps". It is located at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level, on a plateau that is completely facing south. Thanks to this location, Crans Montana is the sunniest place in Europe. The resort is made up of Crans and Montana, two villages close to each other, each with a main lift station.
You can get to Crans Montana from Geneva Airport by public transport (train and bus). But a more comfortable way is to order a taxi from Nice airport. The distance to the resort is 187 km. The journey will take 2 - 2.5 hours. The average cost of a taxi to Crans Montana will be 500-600 CHF.
Ordering a taxi at the airport is very easy. All cars are parked at the terminal at the exit of the airport. Be careful when ordering. It is important to remember that the evening and night rates are higher than the day rates. If you are traveling in a company, then you need to pay extra for the fourth passenger. When traveling with children, be especially careful. France introduced a high fine for transporting children without an appropriate car seat. During rush hour, the airport may not have the right car with a seat. Then you will have to wait.

This ski resort in Switzerland is served by 28 lifts: 10 ski lifts, 7 chairlifts and 11 cable cars with cabins. From time to time, some lifts are turned off due to weather conditions, and sometimes for unknown reasons, then the queue for the workers looks like in the photo.
