The journey from Fiumicino airport or from Rome itself to Pompeii can be done using several types of transport. If we talk about public transport, then only bus routes have direct flights from both the airport and the city. Cons: They don't travel very often. This trip will cost approximately 20 euros and will take 4 hours. Trains run much more often, but there are no direct ones. You will have to change planes in Naples and Rome (if you are coming from the airport). In this case, the trip will cost about 40 euros and will take 4 hours from the airport and about 3 hours from Rome.
Of course, to avoid all these inconveniences, you can take a taxi, rent a car, or order a private transfer in advance. By car, the journey will most likely take the shortest toll highway - E45 - and will take an average of 3 hours. The distance from the center of Rome to Pompeii is 245 km.

How does an individual transfer compare favorably with other vehicles? Here are a few points:
Flexibility and convenience. You do not depend on the availability of free taxis or cars at the rental point, you do not waste time searching for them and registering them. The car has been ordered in advance and meets all your requirements. You know for sure that passengers will be accommodated comfortably and that luggage will fit.
Price. It is known to you in advance. There will be no surprises. The taxi driver may charge an additional fee for luggage, passengers or a child seat.
Child safety. Our cars are equipped with child seats and boosters, which will be provided to you free of charge if the age of the child requires it. Safety first.
Customer focus. Our drivers speak English, so there will be no problems with communication. They meet you with a sign at the airport or at your hotel.

At Fiumicino Airport you can take a free taxi at the exit from the arrivals area, and in Rome you can call it by phone or ask the hotel staff for help.
There are a few important things to remember when searching for and ordering a taxi:
The main advantages of an individual transfer over a taxi are obvious: flexibility and transparent price. You know all transfer parameters in advance. This is a definite plus.
You should see Pompeii at least once in your life. Pompeii has an Archaeological Park where you can walk deep into history. We were told about this in school, about that hellish day two thousand years ago when the ash of a volcano buried the lives of an entire population in just an instant. several hours of the city, crystallizing it and returning it to us seventeen centuries later.
Until we actually walk through the streets built by the Romans, among the houses, shops, bakeries, brothels, spas, "snack bars" where street food was distributed, we will not understand that life has changed in two thousand years only in terms of convenience , but not really. And that our roots lie there much more than we imagine.
And then there are other Pompeii, new ones, born just under a century ago around the Rosary Sanctuary, which have grown over the decades and want everyone to know that beyond the excavations there is a Pompeii consisting of excellent local cuisine, youth institutions and street art.
If you are organizing a visit to the excavations of Pompeii and its surroundings, here is a list of places you should see. You can visit Pompeii in one day from Naples, but we recommend staying here for at least two or three days.

We saved a lot of time and effort by booking a transfer from the airport to Pompeii. I was traveling with two children and this was a lifesaver for us. The car was clean and comfortable, and the driver was very polite and helpful. We liked it, thank you very much for the service!
