For getting to Villars-sur-Ollon from Geneva airport by car, you need to take the A1 and A9 roads. They ran along the northern shore of Lake Geneva, near the cities of Nyon, Lausanne, Vevey and Montreux.

For those who are used to traveling in comfort, the ideal option to get to the ski resort is a transfer from Geneva airport to Villars-sur-Ollon.
You can find different transfer options and choose the one that suits you with "ByCar": an economical transfer (for 2-3 passengers with a small number of suitcases), a spacious car for a family trip with children (for example, a group of 6 passengers with skis and 6-8 suitcases), bus (for a group of 15-20 tourists). We also have premium cars for meeting VIP guests: Mersedes S class and Mersedes V class.
An English-speaking professional driver will meet you at the airport waiting area and help you load your luggage. For young passengers, we will install boosters and child seats in advance. For adults, Wi-Fi is available in all cars in the fleet.

Tourists very often book a taxi from Geneva airport to Villars-sur-Ollon. This is a convenient way to get to the resort (especially compared to public transport). You will quickly reach your hotel. You do not have to carry your suitcases and skis far and carry them when changing transport. You won't have to wait long for the bus.
However, taxis have their drawbacks. For example, the price for a trip is about 500 CHF, which is higher than for a transfer and much higher than for a bus. Also, you cannot find out in advance the final cost of a taxi ride, it depends on the time of day, waiting time, the number of passengers and luggage.
The second disadvantage is that many taxi drivers do not speak English, so it is difficult to find a common language with them. Well, if you come to rest with a small child, you will most likely have to look for a suitable car, since not all cars have child seats.

Villars-sur-Ollon Swiss ski resort, which is visited by tourists and athletes from all over the world in winter, spring, summer and winter. Travelers arrive at different airports to get to the resort later.

Villars-sur-Ollon is an ideal place for skiers who like to ski in peace. Here you are guaranteed a luxurious holiday with a wide range of entertainment options, from numerous discos and restaurants to two sports centers.
Villars has many opportunities for active sports enthusiasts. You can swim in the pool, use the ice rink or use the indoor tennis courts. Villars is located in the southwestern part of Switzerland, in the Vaudois Alps at an altitude of 1300 meters. You can ride on a variety of tracks. Many trails are long. Here is the famous Glacier 3000.
Villars-sur-Ollon is a resort for families with children. All conditions have been created here to put your child on skis: a ski school for children, a kindergarten, and a wonderful Snow Kindergarten.
In this unique training center, even three-year-old children are engaged. Experienced teachers introduce children to snowboarding and skiing and other winter sports. In the vicinity of the resort, there are beautiful parks with numerous entertainments for adults and children. The resort offers Park Aventure (a park with children's trails in the forest), an aqua park (30 minutes from Villar) with an area of about 15 thousand square meters.
In the sports complex of the resort you will find: a skating rink, a swimming pool, a bowling alley and a fitness room. More than 50 restaurants, 20 bars and 2 discos are at guests' disposal.
In total, 45 lifts are installed in the ski area. You can get to the track by three gondolas, one mountain pass, ten chair lifts and 28 drag lifts.
Villars has a large number of blue (90 km) and red (88 km) pistes. The main ski area is located at an altitude of 1300 meters. The total length of the tracks is about 120 kilometers, and 225 of the entire region. Villars has 50 km of cross-country skiing trails. For snowboarders, there are 4 snowparks with halfpipes and boardercrosses.
The resort is also popular in summer. In summer, guests can enjoy 300 km of hiking trails, 130 km of mountain biking and golf trails, an 18-hole course, as well as marked routes for climbers and Nordic walkers.
Villars-sur-Ollon is located in the south-west of Switzerland, relatively close to Lake Geneva, in the canton of Vaud. The best way to get here is through Geneva airport (only 1 transfer from train to bus and 2:11 on the way).
It takes almost 4 hours to get from Zurich airport to Villard - with 2 - 4 transfers, a ticket costs 96 francs in 1 way, 2nd class. You have to go through Lausanne and Aigle. There is a direct train from Zurich Airport to Lausanne at 18 minutes hourly. Or a train in 40 minutes to Bern, and then a train transfer to Lausanne.
There, change train to Aigle (direction Brig), then take bus 144 towards Villars-sur-Ollon, gare, 35 minutes on the way to the terminus (departures 55 minutes hourly). A ticket costs 100 francs in 1 way 2nd class, so it's better to buy a Swiss Transfer Ticket - it will be cheaper with it: 150 francs for the round-trip instead of 200 francs with regular tickets. The last departure from Zurich airport to Villard is possible at 19:43, at 23:30 you will be there.
From Geneva airport to Villars, it takes 2 hours 11 minutes to get there with 1 change in the city of Aigle. From Geneva airport, train towards Brig (departure at 21 minutes hourly) from track 3, in an hour and a half you will be in Aigle. From there, take bus number 144 towards Villars-sur-Ollon, gare, 35 minutes on the way to the terminus. The last departure from Geneva airport to Villars is possible at 21:21, at 23:20 you will be there.
