Every year, a large number of tourists from all over the world come to Grimaud for a vacation. Very often, they order a private transfer to get to Grimaud, located 92 km away. The cost of a transfer for 2-4 passengers starts from 170 euros, for 5-8 people at least 230 euros. And the travel time usually takes 1 - 1.5 hours, depending on traffic jams. Our drivers meet passengers at the Nice airport building with a sign, help with luggage and take them directly to the door of the hotel in Grimaud.
The distance from Nice Airport to Grimaud is about 98 km. The trip is mainly on the A8 motorway, above the cities of Antibes, Cannes and Frejus, but without going into them. After about 50 km (not far from Le Muy), the road turns towards the sea and you drive along the usual D558 road. This section of the road is quite beautiful, due to the surrounding nature, mountains, forests and, of course, the sea.
Usually, without traffic jams, the trip from Nice Airport to Port Grimaud takes about 1.5 hours. However, in the high season in summer or on holidays, the travel time increases to 2 or 3 hours. The closer to Saint-Tropez, the narrower the roads and the worse the traffic jams. In summer, it is better to leave early so as not to miss your flight.
Alternative route:
In case of heavy traffic jams on the roads near the embankment, you can use the bypass through the village of La Garde-Freinet, which will save 30-50 minutes. However, you should remember that this road is narrow and very winding, so if you get motion sickness, it will not be easy to drive along it.
Taking the A8 motorway remains the quickest way to reach Grimaud, though it involves toll payments. Along the route, you will pass through two toll stations.
First Toll Station: Found near Antibes (Péage d’Antibes), about 15 kilometers from Nice Airport. The charge for a regular passenger vehicle is €3.40.
Second Toll Station: Located close to Le Muy, approximately 50 kilometers from Nice. The toll fee here is €5.70 for a standard car.
Total Toll Cost: On a one-way journey from Nice to Grimaud, the combined toll expense will be €3.40 + €5.70, totaling €9.10.
Besides toll fees, you should also consider fuel costs. The route between Nice and Grimaud covers roughly 60 kilometers, and most vehicles consume between 8 to 10 liters of fuel depending on driving style and traffic. Assuming a fuel price around €2 per liter, the expected fuel expense will be approximately €16-20.
Altogether, the estimated total cost for a one-way trip from Nice to Grimaud in a standard car is about €25-30. For larger vehicles such as minibuses, costs may increase to between €40 and €50.

Booked trip from Nice Airport to Grimaud at short notice, very happy with the service, e.g. payment at end of journey rather than in advance, driver sent a photo of himself to help with recognition.

I had a small accident in Italy and was unable to take the train back to France. I got a quote and few hours later right on time the driver arrived. The drive was pleasant and relaxing. Once we got to my residence the driver helped me with my bags upstairs as I had crutches. Great experience. Professional. Would recommend

Taking a taxi from Nice Airport to Grimaud offers a straightforward and convenient way to reach this picturesque village on the Côte d’Azur. Taxis are readily available at Terminal 1 (exit A1) and Terminal 2 (exit A3). The drive generally lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours, depending on traffic flow. Covering a distance of approximately 95 kilometers, most routes follow the A8 motorway and continue along the D25 road. Taxi fares are metered and can be on the expensive side—typically between €260 and €420, influenced by time of day, weekday vs. weekend, and overall road conditions. While taxis offer greater ease and flexibility compared to public transport, they don’t quite match the personalized service and comfort of a private transfer.
Because taxi fares are calculated using a meter, the exact total cannot be confirmed ahead of time. However, to help you plan your budget, we've outlined common price ranges and potential additional charges you may encounter on this route below.
Here are two scenarios to help you estimate your potential fare to Grimaud:
A. Arrival at 13:10, 3 passengers with 4 bags, 2.5-hour trip including 1 hour in traffic:
260 + 8 + 2 + 40 + 10 = 320€
B. Arrival at 18:45, 4 passengers with 5 bags, 3-hour trip including 1.5 hours in traffic:
320 + 8 + 4 + 75 + 10 = 417€
Although taxis offer a certain level of convenience, there are important considerations to keep in mind before choosing this option for travel to Grimaud:
Booking a private transfer from Nice Airport to Grimaud offers a smooth, stress-free start to your trip. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a friendly, English-speaking driver holding a personalized sign at the arrivals area—or right outside your hotel if departing from there. They’ll assist with your luggage and ensure a comfortable, direct ride to any address within Grimaud. Before your journey begins, you’ll receive the driver’s contact information, allowing you to easily connect via phone or WhatsApp for any updates or questions.
To ensure a comfortable and worry-free journey, we equip all our vehicles with complimentary Wi-Fi and offer child seats or booster seats upon request for younger travelers. One of the key advantages of choosing our transfer service over standard taxis is our commitment to clear, fixed pricing. You’ll never face surprise fees—your rate remains the same regardless of your hotel's location or the amount of luggage you bring. Unlike local taxis that charge based on distance, time, or traffic, our rates are fully transparent. What’s more, if your flight is delayed, you don’t need to worry—our drivers actively track flight status in real time and will be waiting for you as soon as you land.
Reserving your transfer is quick and easy—just fill out the online booking form or contact a Bycar representative directly via WhatsApp. We offer a wide selection of vehicles to suit every need, from budget-friendly options to high-end models, and we accommodate both solo travelers and larger groups. Thanks to our focus on reliability and customer care, your trip from Nice Airport to Grimaud will be smooth, efficient, and completely stress-free.

Recently my family and I were on holiday on the Cote d'Azur, we took a private transfer from Nice to Grimaud and we didn't go wrong)) The trip took about 1 hour and 50 minutes. The driver was a nice and calm young man. There was water and Wi-Fi in the car, so the children connected their iPads and they drove to the hotel calmly. Very modern and good service, I recommend you.
