Tourists come to Meribel from Geneva airport on two main routes.
The first route runs along the left bank of Annecy Lake (the places are very beautiful and romantic), then along motorway N90. This whole road will take about 2.5 hours (sometimes on holidays and on Saturdays you can spend 3-3.5 hours). The length of the path is 137 km.
The second route runs along the A41 and A43 highways. The length of this path is more than the first one - about 182 km, but the travel time also takes about 2.5 hours. The passenger could choose which road to take by himself: the beautiful one or the autobahn. Or the driver can recommend a route choice depending on traffic jams.

Among the resorts of the Three Valleys, Meribel is the largest. It opened in 1938. Meribel is the resort that suits absolutely everyone. There are a lot of different trails for beginners, and for professional skiers, as well as for fans of freeride.
The resort is located in the heart of the Three Valleys complex. The town has preserved the traditional Savoyard atmosphere. At the same time, the quality of the tracks is of a high level, modern lifts work for comfortable movement.
The peak of the season is in the second half of February. The season opens in early December and continues until the end of April.
Meribel is the right place for not very experienced skiers. For beginners: Blanchot wide slope, Altiport area, where there is also a free tow rope for beginners. Short "blue" and "green" runs in the Rond Point area will help you improve your technique. "Red" and "blue" slopes are intertwined with each other in the areas of Pas du Lac and Plattieres.
Professionals will be interested in the Combe du Vallon steep descent in the Mont Vallon area (2952 m), as well as the La Face women's Olympic track. The pistes Georges Mauduit on one side of the valley and Combe de Tougnete on the other are classified as "black" but relatively easy to pass. Two local snowboarding areas: Meribel-Mottaret (Plattieres snowpark) with a half pipe, baby pipe and one 650-meter obstacle course, as well as Meribel (Arpasson moonpark) - two half-pipes and one kilometer obstacle course.
The resort has 33 km of cross-country skiing trails. The alpine route with a height difference of 1700-1850 meters leads to Courchevel. The total length of the tracks is 600 km. Tourists are waiting for 8 green and 36 blue slopes for beginners, 23 red and 9 black slopes are open for experienced guests of the resort.
